Onboarding. . . Made easy? – Part 1

Has a new staff person just arrived and been assigned to work with you? What is she like? How do you communicate or motivate her? What value will she bring to your team? These are all “onboarding” questions.

Onboarding is integrating staff into a new relationship. Most organizations do that by asking people to complete health care and other forms at the human resources office. Or, making sure they have the right equipment or software. That’s the easy part of onboarding.

The difficult part of onboarding is helping set up

working relationships so people can work more effectively together. For example, how a supervisor can work with
a new employee, or how two employees who have
never worked together can now work effectively with each other. Have you considered how much time and effort are wasted through distrust between two people because they do things differently and don’t understand the other’s way of doing things?

You can stop all this before it begins.

If you are one of our clients and have taken our DISC or our DISC & Motives assessment, we have a new tool to help you integrate staff into your workforce. If your staff haven’t taken our DISC or DISC & Motives report, that’s easy too. These assessments take less than 20 minutes to complete from log-on to log-off.

If your staff have already taken our assessments there is no need for them to answer any other questions to get this new report. Just tell us who the two people are and WE will do all the work and generate this incredible 16- page report for you.
