We asked a popular AI program to tell us about Patrick Mahomes’ and Jalen Hurts’ DISC style AND how to stop each from being successful on the field.  Dr. A then modified the AI comments to more closely resemble his perception of each’s DISC style.

Game Plan to Beat Him:

1. Disguise Coverages & Mix Pressure:
   • Use confusing pre-snap looks to make him hesitate.
   • Simulated pressure (fake blitzes) forces him to hold the ball longer.
   • Drop defenders into passing lanes to disrupt quick throws especially those throws over the middle.
2. Keep Him in the Pocket:
   • Use disciplined pass-rush lanes to keep him in the pocket.
   • Spy him by assigning an athletic linebacker on him every play to contain off-script plays.
3. Limit Explosive Plays:
   • Play two-high safeties to eliminate deep shots.
   • Force him into long, methodical drives, where frustration might set in.
4. Control Possession & Keep Him Off the Field:
   • Use long drives with the run game to limit his opportunities.
   • Play physical, time-consuming football to shorten the game.

Beating Jalen Hurts (High D & S – Dominant & Steady)

Weaknesses to Exploit:

• Prefers structure: Unlike Mahomes, Hurts is less likely to take reckless risks.

   • Stop the Eagles’ RPOs & QB runs—force Hurts to be a pure pocket passer.
   • Challenge him to win with deep throws.
2. Pressure Without Overcommitting:
   • Use controlled blitzes to collapse the pocket without opening running lanes.
   • Make Hurts win from tight windows and second/third reads rather than his first option.
3. Force the Eagles into Third & Long:
   • The Eagles thrive on short-yardage situations—disrupt early downs to force tough third downs.
   • Disciplined tackling to stop Hurts’ sneaky scrambles.
4. Make Him Play from Behind:
   • The Eagles’ offense is built for controlling the game, not recovering from being behind.
   • Score early and force them into pass-heavy situations, limiting their RPO efficiency.
